31/05 – 09:00AM – MLT The New Baroque Galleries – Members’ Event

On Saturday 31^st May, Heritage Malta members are invited to join an exclusive curator’s tour of the new Baroque galleries at MUŻA, which opened earlier this year.

Whether you’re curious to see what big changes were made, or if it’s your first visit to MUŻA, you will enjoy hearing about the new narrative explored in these galleries. Starting with the arrival of the Order of St John in 1530 and ending in the closing decades of the 18th century, we will explore the development of the Baroque style in Malta, from early Caravaggesque paintings, to High Baroque portraiture and sculpture, and elegant decorative arts.

Two tours will take place - the first will be in Maltese, starting at 09:00 with complimentary coffee afterwards at 10:00, and the second tour will be in English, enjoying the same coffee station first and then starting at 10:30.
